In the Werewolf's Den by Rob Preece
"In the Werewolf’s Den" is an action packed adventure where the "return of magic" has sent the human race into a tailspin of destruction. Where the "impaired" those with a hidden gene awakened by a mysterious virus, and the "normal" those who were not affected, battle each other. Some battling for supremacy, others battling for tranquility among the races.
At the end of the 21st century a virus unlike any the world had ever known swept through the human race awakening a sleeping monster, man against man, woman against woman. Something so life altering that no one felt they were safe, the realization that magic was not only real but alive and thriving in the now magically impaired.
Warder Cadet Danielle Goodman is assigned to protect Dr. Carl Harriman, who is a scientist, with a magical impairment, looking for a solution to the world’s problem with the "return of magic". What Danielle didn’t expect was the battle of whit’s it would take to figure out who her true allies are, and the battle between her heart and mind over the romance she didn’t understand.
In the Werewolf's Den kept my heart pounding the whole time. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the day, because I could not "put it down", or even bring myself to walk away from it very long. I wanted to know what happened next, how it ended. The plot and the characters are great and wonderful, the mix between reality and fantasy was perfect, and a mix of humans and magic that was done flawlessly. I would recommend "In the Werewolf’s Den" to anybody, everybody, it is a book that any one can enjoy with the right imagination.
